Dolphins Does Not Puts Health Of Their Players First And Its Apparent

With quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who sustained two significant concussions in the previous season and appears to be injury prone this year, the Miami Dolphins are officially taking a big risk. The athlete persisted in promoting the story that nothing is wrong and that his life is not in danger, along with others in his close circle.

But professionals like as Dr. Bennet Omalu repetedly urged Tua that he should forget about football and retire early. Naturally, rather than embracing reality, the player chose to dismiss any warning and surround himself with lots of “yes men.” The Dolphins’ risk-taking for a single player who may get hurt again is making supporters anxious about the next campaign.

That has been the situation for the previous few years, not just this year. The Dolphins have faith that athletes with injury histories are worth taking a chance on.

And so Miami has been comfortable drafting, signing or trading for-

Tua Tagovailoa.

Raheem Mostert

Jaelan Phillips

Jaelan Phillips’ third NFL season came to an early end due to an Achilles injury that was surgically fixed. As a result, the young pass rusher for the Miami Dolphins will need to recover for at least nine months.

In order for the 2021 first-round pick to resume where he left off in 2023—a season in which he recorded 43 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 11 quarterback hits, and his first career interception in the eight games he played—he will need to undergo nine to twelve months of rehabilitation to strengthen his right leg.

It’s the second consecutive year the Dolphins stumble into the playoffs. They lost to the Buffalo Bills in the wild card round of the previous season without quarterback Tagovailoa, without guard Liam Eichenberg, and without Mostert as their starting running back.

Many people think that team physicians may tell teams to pass on particular athletes just by mentioning their bad medical records and scores. It’s not always the case, though.

Dr. Chao remarked, “I rarely told a team, can’t draft him or can’t sign him.” “What I would tell them was if the player was a high injury risk. For example, I had a GM once tell me, ‘You’re going to see a guy today, don’t worry about his knees he’s a really good player.’

“I said, ‘OK, I won’t worry but I do have to tell him.’ “Yeah, he gets worried about his knees, so don’t make the knee that big of a deal,” was the response.

Dr. Chao stated, “I would definitely fail them if they had a neck condition where they’re going to be paralyzed or a heart condition where they’re unable to play football.” “But I’d say certain teams, depending on the decision-makers, they’re afraid to go against the doctors on big things.

“And other teams do what they intend to do.”

It’s safe to conclude that the Dolphins these days belong in the latter group. For instance, they selected Tagovailoa in the draft despite his history of ailments in Alabama, which included hip, ankle, and hand problems.

Due to two concussions, Tagovailoa missed games in the previous season. For the first time in his career, he has participated in all 17 regular season games this season.

It should be mentioned that Howard had a history of knee injuries before leaving Baylor. He was selected by the Dolphins in the second round because they thought his exceptional skill justified the risk. Then, during his first training camp, he had a knee injury that kept him out of much of his rookie season.

Although there were concerns about Howard’s knee in 2018 and 2019, the organization nevertheless signed him to a contract extension in 2019 and gave him a stunning new $90 million deal before 2022. In 2021, the team added an incentive and additional raises.

It’s not been a problem with Howard’s knee recently. Nevertheless, he is going to miss his sixth game of the year.

It should be mentioned that Mostert had a lengthy history of injuries when he joined the Dolphins last season. In 2020, he was placed on injured reserve, and in 2021, he sustained a knee injury in the season’s first match that put an end to his campaign.

Will the Dolphins, in spite of their players’ lengthy medical history in the past, keep pushing the edge and adding players?

What else is left for things to be pretty clear that the Dolphins do not care about the player’s health?
