Bill Belichick’s Double Loss: Firstly, His Girlfriend Linda Holliday And Then The Patriots

After dating for sixteen years, Bill Belichick, the former head coach of the New England Patriots, and Linda Holliday called it quits on their relationship in September. Holliday and the renowned head coach parted ways in 2007, ending their very strong relationship. Thus, Belichick has lost both of his loves in a single season: his longtime partner and his job as the Patriots’ coach.

The couple had been drifting apart for some time, People magazine reported, adding that an informant had disclosed that the problem in their relationship was not new and had finally caused them to separate. Additionally, the insider said that Belichick would rather keep things low-key because he is preoccupied with the NFL season and football. He stated, “He doesn’t want a lot of public attention on this.”

Belichick already had a lot on his plate, and the break happened at the same time as the 2023 NFL season got underway. The source noted that Belichick continues to meet new individuals on a regular basis and has a great support network despite the divorce.

Moreover, it came to light that Belichick had bought a house in Jupiter, Florida, the previous year with the intention of sharing it with Holliday. But Belichick intends to give the house to his ex-partner as a result of their breakup.

Bill lost the Patriots, his all-time favorites.

The renowned head coach and the Patriots confirmed their separation today. During a brief news conference, Belichick conveyed his appreciation for his time spent with the Pats: “Robert and I, after a series of discussions, have mutually agreed to part ways. For me, this is a day of gratitude and celebration,” Belichick said.

“I am very proud of everything we achieved, of the memories, they are things that I will carry with me for the rest of my life,” said the renowned coach. “I want to thank everyone, starting with the assistant coaches I had in all these years, great coaches with whom we achieved unforgettable things. I also want to thank the players, who were always first class. They are the greatest. Even if they didn’t win championships, I will always appreciate their dedication, professionalism and effort,” he added.
