The LSU Tigers of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) are led by American collegiate basketball star Angel Reese. Reese, often known as the “Bayou Barbie,” went to Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. There, she excelled academically and was selected a McDonald’s All-American in 2020 before being ranked second in her class by ESPN.
Reese was the highest-ranked recruit in school history when she signed with the Maryland Terrapins, but a fractured right foot ended her first campaign in 2020–21. As a sophomore, she was selected by the Associated Press to the third team of All-America.
