On Christmas Day, Raiders cornerback Jack Jones made it very evident to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Travis Kelce that his team did not give Las Vegas a victory. Raiders grabbed it.

Raiders Cornerback Jack Jones Gets Into A Verbal Clash With Travis Kelce Over Santa Joke

You would be hard-pressed to find a football fan who doesn’t recall seeing the Chiefs’ horrible performance on Christmas Day, unless copious amounts of eggnog had erased it from their mind.

On the most recent edition of the “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother Jason, a center for the Philadelphia Eagles, Kelce, 34, discussed the Chiefs’ defeat at the hands of the Raiders.

He declared, “We gave them a present and literally played Santa.” That was awkward. Everybody in the building knows how embarrassing that was. We got a short week so we’re going to forget about this s–t real quick.”

Jack Jones, though, took issue with that evaluation. The cornerback was more than pleased to inform Kelce that he believed the Raiders had earned that game.

“[Travis Kelce] said they gave us that game – tell him to go watch that game,” Jones said. “We took that game. Yeah, we own that.”

Whatever transpired, the Raiders will undoubtedly use that victory as motivation. Right now, their chances of making the postseason are 12 percent. That rises to 29% if they defeat the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Let’s hope for a date with the Chief if the Raiders pull off the incredible feat of making it to the playoffs.

How long has Jack Jones been in the NFL?

Despite having only played for the Patriots in his brief one and a half year NFL career, Jones is well acquainted with Antonio Pierce, his new head coach. The interim head coach of the Raiders is none other than Jones, who was an assistant coach at Arizona State and the head coach at Long Beach Poly High School.

What happened with Jack Jones?

When two guns were discovered in Jones’ carry-on bag at Boston’s Logan Airport in June, he was taken into custody. Prosecutors ultimately dropped eight of the nine firearms counts against Jones in return for his agreement to serve a year on probation and do 48 hours of community service.
