Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Throws Shade At QB Tua Tagovailoa & Brock Purdy In A Live Stream

It feels like the NFL MVP competition has never been this open before. Many supporters will bemoan the fact that the contest is still mostly about quarterbacks, but it doesn’t make it any less competitive. Well, Micah Parson is always ready to defend his QB.

The odds indicate that anybody may win this race, with Jalen Hurts dropping out of the top slot and the Eagles collapsing. The odds for six quarterbacks are better than 10-to-1.

Dak Prescott is undoubtedly the center of attention for Cowboys supporters and players in this situation, and Micah Parsons discussed some of Dak’s rivals. He didn’t use their names, but last week he also made some obvious jabs at Brock Purdy and Tua Tagovailoa.

Micah was careful with his wording. Although he didn’t say anything explicitly bad about Tua or Purdy, it’s easy to read between the lines. He claims he could be successful as quarterback in such offenses and lists each of their top receivers.

“I truly believe I could be Tyreke Hill’s quarterback … I could throw a screen pass to Deebo.”

His jab against Tagovailoa seems, to put it mildly, sour considering Dallas most recently suffered a defeat at the hands of the Miami Dolphins. Parsons blamed the referees for a large portion of the Dallas loss, even though they lost.

“It’s mind-blowing, the things that are getting called, the positions we get put in,” Parsons stated. “We just gotta learn to fight the adversity  and know a lot of it is BS. It’s football plays, but it’s the world we live in. We got the star on the helmet.”

In addition, the Cowboys received a meager roughing-the-passer penalty.

“[The official] said my intent was to punish the quarterback,” Parsons stated. “But how am I trying to punish him if I’m just trying to sack him? It’s not like it’s a late hit, I didn’t leave my feet. I didn’t lead with my head. I don’t know how you make that call.”

The Cowboys should easily move into the No. 4 NFC Wild Card berth as a result of the loss. There might be a Purdy showdown in the near future, giving Parsons a chance to stand by his statement.
