Drew Lock Mocked Jalen Hurts With A Savage Reply In Postgame Handshake

Following an incredible touchdown-scoring drive to bring his club to an unexpected victory over the Eagles on Monday Night Football, Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock was ecstatic.

Drew Lock Mocked Jalen Hurts With A Savage Reply In Postgame Handshake

Cameras captured his flawless one-line reply at midfield, but it seemed he had some difficulty tracking his rival Jalen Hurts for a postgame handshake after the game.

In the last minute of the game, Lock, the starting quarterback for Seattle, led his team on a 92-yard touchdown drive to take a 20-17 lead. Perceptive social media users saw that Lock seemed to look for Hurts before remarking, “I guess he’s sick.”

In all fairness, Lock, 27, who was a second-round selection by the Denver Broncos in 2019, had a strong performance, which featured a 2-minute drill drive that proved to be the game-winning play in the fourth quarter. In the end, Lock finished 22 of 33 pass attempts for 208 yards and a score.

Lock was naturally pretty excited after the win, which raised the Seahawks’ record to 7-7 and put them in the NFC playoff hunt. He was spotted smack-talking Jalen Hurts, who he was unable to locate for a postgame handshake, and referencing Antonio Brown’s song “Put That S— On.”

Hurts was not in the best of moods following the game, doubting the dedication of his teammates, regardless of his true intentions on the Lock snub.

Hurts told reporters, “I’ve been talking about execution all year.” “Everyone being on the same page. We didn’t execute. I don’t think we’re committed enough. Just got to turn it around. You know, it’s a challenge that we have to embrace. Just continue to see it through.”

When pressed to elaborate on his response, Hurts’ annoyance was even more evident.

“Commitment. I don’t have a dictionary on me now … I don’t know how else to say that,” he said

Why Hurts did not meet Lock at midfield following the game is unknown. In any case, Lock handled it with a fair amount of comedy.

With the victory, Seattle moved up to 7–7 and maintained their lead in the NFC playoff race. On Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, the Seahawks take on the Titans (5–9).

What makes Jalen Hurts a talented player?

His commitment to the game and his work ethic play a part in it, but so does the impact his parents, siblings, and grandparents had on him as a child. Hurts’s leadership philosophies center on precedent-setting and attitude. Hurts asserted, “Attitude reflects leadership.”

Why did the Eagles lose to the Seahawks?

When it counted most, the Eagles, led by senior defensive assistant Matt Patricia (Desai is still the defensive coordinator), were unable to stop the Seahawks. In the same way that they were unable to in the two games prior when Desai called the plays.
