After starting quarterback Kirk Cousins was sidelined for the season due to an Achilles injury, Dobbs, who was acquired by the Vikings from the Cardinals prior to the trade deadline of October 31st, has guided Minnesota to two straight wins.

On November 5, the 28-year-old journeyman quarterback was first involved in the action after rookie quarterback Jaren Hall of the Vikings left a game against the Falcons in the first quarter with a concussion.

Less than a week was given to Dobbs to acclimate to a new playbook and teammates. With the victory, the Vikings defeated the Falcons 31-28, extending their winning streak to 5-4.

After the Vikings defeated the Saints 27-19 on Sunday, the former Tennessee product worked his magic once more, claiming the top spot on the NFL’s X page with a screenshot from the game.

“Josh in two starts has shown us what mobility, in addition to what we do offensively, can do for us in this tough time where we’re trying to overcome the loss of Kirk,” ESPN quoted Kevin O’Connell, the head coach of the Vikings, as saying.
