Luka Doncic Is Sick Of A Complaining Kyrie Irving
Everything is better when you win. With their 136-124 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night in the Big Easy, the Dallas Mavericks improved to 8-2 on the season. Luka Doncic added 30 points, while Kyrie Irving scored 35 to lead Dallas’ explosive offense.
Luka Doncic Is Sick Of A Complaining Kyrie Irving
The Mavericks are playing quicker than they have in past seasons. They are relying on their two superstars to create for themselves and others, getting out in transition and making outside shots. Dallas now boasts one of the top offences in the NBA as a result of it.
After his Dallas Mavericks defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 136-124, Luka Doncic did not hold back in telling his teammate Kyrie Irving how much he had grown weary of his falsehoods.

“He said he was tired before the game. So that was, how do you say that BS? So I don’t get fined,” the Slovenian joked in the post-game press conference after the forceful performance of his teammate against the Pelicans.
Dallas is regarded by experts as one of the favourites to make it to the championship series or, at the very least, to be a contender in the Western Conference postseason because of both.

Even though Kyrie Irving has had a strong season, he stated a few days ago that the team should receive the credit. “We have a special group; I can trust them, and I don’t need to be Superman. I don’t have to put everything on my shoulders,” he said.
He thanked his teammates for making his job on the court so easy: “I just have to put the ball in the right place at the right time and trust my teammates to make their shots.”

Doncic was excellent, but Irving outperformed him, scoring a game-high 35 points, dishing out seven assists and grabbing six rebounds. He made 13–20 shots from the field and 7–10 from beyond the arc, including a buzzer-beater from the corner to put the Mavs ahead 67–54 at the half.
Kyrie Irving responded to Luka Dončić calling BS on him saying he was tired before his 35 pts 7 ast 6 reb night on 65 / 70 / 100 shooting splits.
“I knew it would create some type of inspiration or motivation amongst the guys. Told them that I needed to be picked up.” 😂 https://t.co/bqkk97xQly pic.twitter.com/4exKyReHy2

Irving has averaged 23 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in eight games. This is his highest assist total since he averaged 6.9 with the Boston Celtics in 2018–19. His percentages are 40 per cent from long range and 45.9 per cent overall. Together with Doncic and all of his teammates, he’s hitting all the right notes, and he mostly attributes this to the Mavs’ increased speed.
