After getting hit by a car on Saturday, Kelly Oubre Jr., a guard for the Philadelphia 76ers, suffered unspecified injuries. The organization stated that he will likely miss a considerable amount of playtime.

After being hit, Oubre, 27, was taken to a hospital where his status was listed as stable. A few hours later, he was released from the hospital. The organization did not disclose the nature of his injury, only that he is not anticipated to miss the remainder of the campaign.

The Sixers said that when Oubre hit, he was strolling close to his downtown Philadelphia home.

The 28-year-old Oubre was hit close to his home, as ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski first revealed. He was brought to a hospital in Philadelphia and was declared stable before being allowed to go home.

According to Wojnarowski, Oubre’s injuries are likely to cause him to lose “significant” time; nonetheless, it is not thought that these injuries will finish his season.

Now, according to Wojnarowski, local officials are looking into it.

Prior to the season, Oubre inked a one-year contract with Philadelphia, and in his debut campaign, he averaged 16.3 points and 5.1 rebounds.

Thanks in part to Oubre’s outstanding play, the Philadelphia 76ers are off to a scorching start this season, leading the Eastern Conference with a 7-1 record.
