Lainey Wilson Left Her Boyfriend Devlin “Duck” Hodges, Ex QB, Speechless At CMAs
Devlin “Duck” Hodges, a former NFL quarterback, was left “speechless” by Lainey Wilson’s great performance at the 2023 Country Music Association Awards.
Thursday, the former signal caller for the Steelers, who has been dating the singer of “Heart Like A Truck” since 2021, posted a video of Wilson holding her five CMA Awards trophies, which includes the Entertainer of the Year award, on his Instagram Stories.
Wilson could be seen grinning in what seemed like the press room at the Nashville event in the video, which Hodges captioned, “I’m speechless.”
Apart from being nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Wilson also won Album of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year awards.

For her song “wait in the truck,” she was also given the Music Video of the Year and Musical Event of the Year awards alongside HARDY.
Wilson sent a poignant letter to her younger followers after winning the Female Vocalist of the Year title.
“For all you little girls watching and for the ones that are here tonight too, it’s something that I’m doing, I’m getting up every single day and I’m looking at myself in the mirror and saying, ‘I am beautiful. I am smart. I’m godly. I’m fearless.’ If somebody tells me I can’t do it, hold my beer. Watch this,” Wilson stated, as reported by ABC News.

Wilson and Hodges appeared together on the red carpet earlier in the evening. Hodges later shared an Instagram video of Wilson accepting Entertainer of the Year in which she was seen holding up an envelope.
“Entertainer of the Year holy duck,” he wrote.
It was in a June interview with People that Wilson first gave Hodges praise.

“Duck is the kind of dude who high-fives me on the way in the door and on the way out and says, ‘Go get it,’” Wilson said.
“He knows how important this dream is to me.”
