Jones had a detailed response when reporters questioned him about his confidence in his ability to lead New England to victory after the game.
“I’m confident. I think that comes from years of experience and earning respect from people, and I think I’ve done that. But I’m trying to win every game I play in, and I’m not doing it. So I just really want to focus on, ‘How can I bring these guys with me? How can we clean up the little things?’” said Jones, via Zack Cox of NESN.

“It takes all 11, and that’s important. And to be the leader of that 11 is a lot of stress, but that’s why I play this game. I really want to win, and I’m doing a lot of things to do that during the week. But for whatever reason, it’s just not happening on Sunday.”
Just five touchdown passes have been made this season compared to seven interceptions. Nevertheless, the offence had a successful day as they scored two touchdowns. New England hadn’t scored a touchdown before the game since the first half of their victory over the New York Jets on September 24.

In the Week 6 defeat, Jones completed 24-of-33 pass attempts. For the third week in a row, he was kept without a touchdown throw while having 200 yards and one interception.

After a lacklustre start to the ’23 season, Jones emphasized his confidence in his ability to turn things around, noting his “years of experience” despite just being in his third NFL season. In his career, the former first-round pick has made 37 appearances.
