Brylie St. Clair, Olivia Dunne Of Soft Ball Had A Bad Weekend. Know The Whole Story

Last Saturday’s humiliating 40-17 loss to Alabama by the Mississippi State Bulldogs included softball standout Brylie St. Clair, known as the Olivia Dunne of the Diamond.

By that, I mean that the senior in his fifth year was out there making passes that were superior to those of the rest of the squad.

Because the Bulldogs are terrible and St. Clair is a rising star, the only positive thing to come out of Saturday’s humiliation was St. Clair, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. To this Alabama team, you mean, giving up 40 points? Please go forward. Ridiculous.

However, the SEC West’s other Olivia Dunne was brought onto the field during the game to attempt and defuse emotions with the crowd. She did this by throwing towels into the stands as it was Friday Night Lights.

Saturdays are not Brylie St. Clair’s day.

I have no idea where it went, but a rocket it was, I can say with absolute certainty. Instagram and appearance aren’t the only things about Brylie. She is an outfield star for Mississippi State, and you don’t compete at the D-1 level unless you have a cannon for an arm.

Weeks have been difficult for Mississippi State. Hell, LSU has endured some difficult weeks. This is something I didn’t expect to happen: Olivia Dunne AND her SEC West rivals are having trouble this autumn.

I expected Mississippi State to lose, but to concede a 40-burger to an Alabama offense that had just managed to score 17 points against USF? What about LSU, which gave away a billion dollars to Ole Miss and Lake Kiffin?

When boys were men and conceding 10 points was viewed as a poor performance, do you remember the good old days of SEC football? There was a time.

Whatever the case, I’m delighted to see that Brylie St. Clair provided some light relief for the Starkville residents during a truly terrible few hours.

Since stealing the show on SEC Nation a few weeks ago and starting to throw some rockets out on the field, our gal has been on a serious tear.
