Willie Gay of the Kansas City Chiefs was questioned about what he sees in the Jets offence these days, and he took the high road in his response by taking a shot at Wilson.

Due to Rodgers’ season-ending Achilles injury, what was expected to be a premier battle between two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers has been reduced to Mahomes and Zach Wilson.
In three games, Wilson has completed 44 of 84 passes (52.4 per cent) for two touchdowns, four interceptions, and 467 yards. According to Pro Football Reference, he has the lowest quarterback rating in the NFL and the second-lowest QBR.

Kansas City reporters asked Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay what he saw on video from a Wilson-led Jets offence. His remark was unpleasant for the second-year quarterback.
What a great answer. All Wilson has to do is hand the ball to the RB and not trip or turn the wrong direction after the snap. He can do that…… maybe. Okay probably not but his coach is standing by the ball hander offer. The Jets season lasted 4 snaps so sad.

“Damn, that was a hard question, I can’t lie,” Gay said. “A team that wants to run the ball. … That wasn’t meant to be funny or anything, but [Aaron Rodgers] got hurt and it turned into a team where, like, panic mode almost. That’s what I see at least. They’ve got great running backs, so know they’re just tying to pound it, pound and ground. … I feel like that’s their game plan.”

Gay’s response has one Twitter user commenting: “Wilson is XFL bound”
Another football fan said: “I am worried Zach Wilson is now going to go off and throw for 60 yards.”
Wilson completed only 18 of 36 passes for 157 yards, leading the Jets to their second straight loss.
