Rosas, who was formerly the senior basketball adviser, will most likely take over the decision-making post left vacant by the retirement of general manager Scott Perry.
The 45-year-old would still be ranked beneath Leon Rose and William Wesley in the Knicks’ pecking order, but he now has a title that matches his impressive history and importance.

ESPN broke the story first, and The Washington Post confirmed it.
Rosas has been with the New York Knicks since February 2022. Previous stops have included Houston, Dallas, and Minnesota front offices. He will most likely take up the job previously held by departing general manager Scott Perry in the Knicks hierarchy.

Rosas, who joined the Knicks under considerable controversy in February 2022, acted as the point man for various discussions.
Rosas has extensive executive experience. He worked with the Rockets for 16 years, was the Mavericks’ general manager for three months, and was the Timberwolves’ president of basketball operations for two years.

Despite the fact that Minnesota returned to the playoffs in 2022, ending a three-year drought, Rosas was fired shortly before the season began on allegations of creating a “dysfunctional” environment and having “a consensual intimate relationship with a member of the organization” that “made several people within the organization uncomfortable.”

Rosas, on the other hand, appears to be working hard in New York to put all of that behind him. He will now be counted on as one of the primary decision-makers for a Knicks squad that is rumoured to have some pretty big ambitions ahead of them.
