Jared Goff And His Girlfriend Christen Harper Celebrated Season Opening With A Kiss

The season-opening victory for the Detroit Lions was sealed by quarterback Jared Goff with a kiss.

Goff raced up to his fiancee, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Christen Harper, who was rooting for him in the fans at Arrowhead Stadium Thursday night after helping his team defeat the defending champion Chiefs 21-20.

In a video Harper posted on Instagram, the couple was seen holding hands and kissing before Goff returned to the opposing team’s locker room for the celebration that followed the victory.

Harper captioned the photo with the phrase “Biiiiig fan of 16,” referencing Goff’s Lions jersey number.

The brunette beauty was sporting a black tank top with Goff’s name and number on the front as she entered the stadium and took a selfie while doing so.

Adding the adorable couple’s video to her Instagram Story, Harper said, “My lil [Lion].”

Over a clip of Lions supporters celebrating the team’s victory in Week 1 in the stands, she typed “LFG” in a second Instagram Story post.

It is unclear what was said during Goff’s brief exchange with the model, whom he had been dating for three years before Goff proposed to Harper in June 2022.

During the NFL season, Harper, 30, resides with Goff in Michigan and is a regular at his games.

With the Chiefs lacking a number of key players, Goff completed 22 of his 35 throws for 253 yards and a touchdown.

Both star tight end Travis Kelce, who hyperextended his knee in practice on Tuesday, and top defensive lineman Chris Jones, who is refusing to sign a contract extension, were absent from Kansas City.

NBC Sports claims that Jones reportedly watched the game from his suite at Arrowhead Stadium.

Following the game, Goff discussed how the Lions, who missed the playoffs in January, had a great off-season. He also lauded Detroit’s defense for leading the team to a successful start to the season.

“A lot of work has been put in this offseason, and you want to start off winning the first one, and we did that today,” Goff said.
