ESPN Reporter Holly Rowe Took An Oxygen Shot While Reporting
Because she took an oxygen shot while watching the Florida-Utah game on Thursday night, ESPN reporter Holly Rowe became an internet sensation.

Rowe displayed a bottle of oxygen that Florida quarterback Graham Mertz and several other players were using during Friday night’s spectacular game in Salt Lake City.
“This is portable oxygen,” Rowe said while holding up a canister of Boost Oxygen, a supplemental oxygen for athletes for performance and recovery.

“This is a personal bottle of oxygen, watch.”
Rowe appeared to be knocked unconscious by the shock as she put the canister to her mouth and fired back at the moment.
“That just gave me a shot of oxygen right to the system,” she said. “I just saw [Florida quarterback] Graham Mertz take one after that touchdown.”
The Gators’ struggles from last season (they finished 6-7) carried into the season opener, which ended in a 24-11 loss to the Utah Utes.

Rowe then put the Boost Oxygen canister over her lips in front of everyone, took a shot, and felt a shock. “That just gave me a shot of oxygen right to the system!” Rowe exclaimed joyfully as she seemed to experience some form of emotion following the energy surge.
Herbstreit responded with a considerably less enthusiastic “Wow,” making it evident that he did not take a breath of oxygen with Rowe. “How about that, huh? That’s impressive, we need that for our crew workouts on the road,” he added lethargically.
This technology certainly pleased Kirk Herbstreit.

“Wow,” Herbstreit replied. “How about that, huh? That’s impressive, we need that for our crew workers on the road.”
With 9:22 remaining in the game, Florida finally made it into the end zone and, thanks to a 19-yard receiving touchdown and a two-point conversion, trimmed Utah’s advantage to 24-11.
In the opening game, it wasn’t enough to secure a victory on the road; Utah won by a score of 13 points.

For many years, Rowe has played a crucial role in ESPN’s coverage of college football. She provides the network with a breath of fresh air when it comes to sideline reporting, just like the bottles on Florida’s sideline.
Rowe will appear more frequently in 2023.
