They rejoin with the Las Vegas Raiders seven years later, with Brady as a minority owner and Garoppolo as the most probable starter.

Since 1999, Brady has not been a part of an NFL club during the preseason. Despite this, Brady, who is now a minority owner of the Raiders, nonetheless garnered a lot of attention by attending.

Brady, 46, attended the Raiders’ final preseason game of the summer at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Subject to NFL permission, the seven-time Super Bowl winner will join the Vegas ownership group after coming to terms with controlling owner and managing general partner Mark Davis to acquire a share.

Garoppolo is one of numerous former Patriots employees currently working for the Raiders, along with Josh McDaniels, a former offensive coordinator. Brady continues to provide his old backup support even after all these years.

Brady met Garoppolo, fellow quarterback Aidan O’Connell, and a few others as they exited the locker room ahead of Saturday’s exhibition game against the Cowboys.

“Go ruin their night,” he said.

Brady and Parsons laughed with one other in another exchange that was captured on camera while taking place on the field at AT&T Stadium.

“He owes me,” Parsons told the group of people surrounding Brady. “He owes me.”

“I don’t owe you anything,” Brady responded. “You hit me too much. I don’t owe you s–t.”

Prior to the game, the storied quarterback spoke with the Raiders quarterbacks and was also spotted conversing with Cowboys defender Micah Parsons. Since Brady’s final NFL game earlier this year, when the Cowboys eliminated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from the playoffs, it was their first on-field encounter.

The ex-New England Patriots and Buccaneers standout discussed the next phase of his NFL career.

“I grew up in the Bay Area. My favorite team was the 49ers. The team across the bay was the Raiders. And, you know, they’re an iconic NFL franchise,” he said. “When I look at a lot of the people that have impacted the NFL over a long period of time in the most positive way, Al Davis is one of them. And he’s not with us anymore, but I’ve heard incredible stories. And then the opportunity came about to become a minority owner in the Raiders, it was a dream come true for me.

“I’ll be playing a very passive role. This is something that I’m interested  in doing for the rest of my life. This is not something that I’m into it for a year or two years. You know, I’ve got a lot of responsibility with my Fox job, which I take very seriously. But if I’m looking over the course of my life, to have the opportunity to be involved in the NFL is a dream come true. And if I could help the NFL and continue to contribute in a positive way, then you know, that’s been a very enjoyable part of my life.”
