Lowa Basketball Star, Caitlin Clark, Had The ‘Best End to Summer’ With Her Boyfriend. Take A Look At their Summer

Caitlin Clark is “best” to sum up the summer.

The star Iowa guard, 21, teased her post-season plans on Instagram on Monday by posting photos of herself and her rumored boyfriend, former Hawkeye Connor McCaffery.

The picture of the couple cuddling on a boat has the remark, “Best end to summer,” written by Clark.

McCaffery, who is the men’s basketball coach at Iowa and the son of Fran McCaffery, later said, “U CUTE,” along with an emoji of a heart and crossed fingers.

Along with the pink heart animation, Clark added McCaffery’s Instagram username.

The Spun reports that Clark and McCaffery, 25, “are believed to have been together for several months now.”

When Iowa lost to Auburn in the first round of the NCAA tournament in March, McCaffery’s collegiate career came to an end as a member of the Hawkeyes basketball team.

“Not really sure how to start this but just need to thank everyone who has been along for this journey,” he wrote on Instagram at the time.

“I could say so much more, but I’m going to leave it at that for now. Being a Hawkeye has been amazing.”’

McCaffery later accepted a job offer from the Indiana Pacers, according to a May article in the Des Moines Register.

“I’ll play dummy defense, run the scout team, help coaches on film stuff, help on video projects if they need, scouting reports if they need,” He described himself as the team’s assistant.

“It’s kind of all-hands on deck, whatever you’re asked to do, be ready to do it.”

Regarding Clark, she had a productive junior season at Iowa, averaging 27.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 8.6 assists per game as she entered her senior year.

She and the Hawkeyes advanced to the NCAA tournament’s national championship game this year but fell to the LSU Tigers in April, 102-85.
