Is Michael Oher Blackmailing ‘The Blind Side’ Family And Asked For 15 Million Dollars? Know The Whole Story

Michael Oher allegedly requested 15 million dollars from his family in order to keep quiet about his accusation that The Blind Side family defrauded him, according to The Blind Side family’s attorney.

Through their legal team, Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy have been adamant that Oher’s allegations are untrue. He thinks the pair profited greatly from his life narrative and that he was placed under conservatorship against his will.

According to the Tuohy family’s attorney, Oher is the main culprit who has been trying to extort money from the Tuohy family by threatening them with bad press, according to a statement to TMZ Sports regarding the case.

Oher is allegedly the villain.

“Over the years, the Tuohys have given Mr. Oher an equal cut of every penny received from ‘The Blind Side,'” attorney Marty Singer said.

“Even recently, when Mr. Oher started to threaten them about what he would do unless they paid him an eight-figure windfall, and, as part of that shakedown effort refused to cash the small profit checks from the Tuohys, they still deposited Mr. Oher’s equal share into a trust account they set up for his son.”

Oher was allegedly abandoned by other attorneys, according to Singer, but “has finally found a willing enabler and filed this ludicrous lawsuit as a cynical attempt to drum up attention in the middle of his latest book tour.”

The 37-year-old Oher filed the case on Monday in a courtroom in Shelby County, Tennessee. He claims that he was only recently made aware of the fact that the Tuohys did not fully adopt him and that he had been placed under a conservatorship.
