Jalen Ramsey Rips Social Media Doctors Discussing His Surgery & Recovery
Tyreek Hill and Jalen Ramsey, two Miami Dolphins players, made some news on Tuesday, although this time off the field.
Jalen Ramsey Rips Social Media Doctors Discussing His Surgery & Recovery
Hill hasn’t been afraid to voice his thoughts on social media, and he surely did that when he defended his former offensive coordinator with the Kansas City Chiefs.A. Bieniemy. It was much more intimate for Ramsey.
Jalen Ramsey of the Miami Dolphins underwent a complete meniscus surgery in his left knee, according to a source who spoke with NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Ramsey hurt his knee during Miami’s practice and had to be taken to the hospital; later that day, it was discovered that surgery would be necessary for his injury.
A meniscus trim would have resulted in an expected six-week recovery period, but a full repair would greatly extend that amount of time, thus the issue at that point was which course of action the surgeons would be able to follow to heal the ligament damage.

Despite not having examined Ramsey, former NFL team physician David J. Chao stated on X as Pro Football Doc that he was worried about the All-Pro cornerback’s potential to be the same player following his return. Ramsey made it plain on social media that he was unhappy with this evaluation.
On the I Am Athlete Podcast, Chao remarked, “I think it’s a tall order for Jalen Ramsey to come back and be Jalen Ramsey.”
Looks like #Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey is already off crutches and walking around freely.

Seems that his recovery is going well, nice to see 👏

“I, unfortunately, don’t make a lot out of seeing him walk without a brace. First of all, if you go by the book, and I’ve seen the Twitter stuff where people say, ‘Oh, it’s great news, he’s walking.’ Yes, it’s still non-weight-bearing crutches and a brace. But if you talk to any seasoned pro sports team doctor, that is advanced to weight-bearing as tolerated in certain range of motions, so that doesn’t necessarily speed up the timeline.

“It’s easier to return as a wide receiver than it is a DB because you’re dictating your routes. A DB has to react to the routes. It’s still hard for a wide receiver to come back from an ACL, but much harder for a DB to do so, because of what they have to do. I’m not overly optimistic, unfortunately, on Jalen Ramsey.”
When the 28-year-old saw his remarks, he attacked him for what he said.

“SHUT UP! I did let a couple of things slide, but y’all have no clue what’s even going on, just talking to hear y’all selves talk! Last I checked, I serve the 1 & ONLY God who dictates everything, not all these Twitter/“X” doctors who have NEVER seen me in their lives lol God bless!”
Chao later responded to Ramsey’s response with an apology “if warranted” and an offer to join him on a podcast to discuss the situation.
Lots of talk last few days regarding knee injury on Jalen Ramsey surgery and comments made by David Chao,MD. As an ortho sports surgeon,I didn’t hear anything said that was controversial. As surgeons, esp in NFL often asked to give prognosis. With recent large law suit judgements…
