Can The Dolphins Win A Super Bowl In 2023?

The Dolphins are being hyped up to be one of the best teams in the NFL with the potential to win a Super Bowl, but can they actually live up to the hype?

Looking at the Dolphins roster, it is one of the best in the national football league. Complete offense (If everybody can stay healthy) and playmakers all around the defense. In the Off-season they made a massive traded for Star CB Jalen Ramsey. Unfortunately he won’t be able to play with the squad until December due to a knee injury he suffered in training camp. However, Vic Vangio also took charge of the Defense during the off-season and this is said to be the pick up of the year. Vangio is one of the best defensive minds in the league and with his smarts and the ball players on the field this unit will be a brick wall.

In terms of offensive fire power, they have the best wide receiver core in the NFL lead by Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Hill quietly had the best year of his career in 2022 put up 1700+ receiving yards, more than any other year with the Chiefs. The problem with this team last year was stay healthy, QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered concussions in back to back game weeks setting him out for a good chunk of the regular season. Unsteady QB play lead for the offense to be off its game, especially when it was lead by Skylar Thompson. But with a healthy offense, they should be able to play their best ball.

The offensive line will play a major part on this teams success, it’s not the best, but it gets the job done. This is mostly thanks to Terron Armstead. Armstead was one of the OTs in the NFL last year and without him this offense would be a living turnstile.

The a look at the schedule it is for sure difficult, the good news however is that they get Jalen Ramsey back for the toughest stretch of the season in December. That stretch of games includes, home to Jets, home to Cowboys, away at Ravens and to rap up the season, home to the Bills. They Still have a very tough schedule and even without Ramsey this defense will be good enough to hang around in games. I can see them winning anywhere between 9 to 12 games if they can stay healthy.

In terms of post season success, the Dolphins haven’t had much in recent years as they haven’t won a playoff game since 2000. Assuming a Super Bowl run would be bold, but I do think they have the roster to keep up with the big dogs in the AFC Such as the Chiefs and the Bengals. Do I think they will win a Super Bowl? Only time will tell, but they for sure have the talent to contend.
