Special Request From a Fan for Alisha Lehmann’s ‘Shirt’ during her World Cup Game
At the 2023 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand, Alisha Lehmann’s supporters were present in force as Switzerland defeated the Philippines 2-0.
Prior to Switzerland’s victory in the first round, a supporter in the crowd at Dunedin Stadium held up a sign that read: “Alisha Lehmann can I get your [shirt]?”
Prior to playing New Zealand on July 30, Switzerland’s next group-round matchup is against Norway on Tuesday.

Lehmann, who has more than 13 million Instagram followers, showed enthusiasm for the competition in the run-up to the event as she thought back on Switzerland’s appearance at the Women’s World Cup in 2015.
“I watched that tournament and thought to myself, ‘I desperately want to play in a Women’s World Cup.’ The anticipation is great now, of course. I’m very excited,” according to FIFA, the Astor Villa forward stated.

In 2015, Switzerland advanced to the round of 16 but fell to Canada, 1-0.
Lehmann noted that Switzerland’s national team manager, Inka Grings, a former German football player and UEFA Women’s EURO champion, has instilled a “winner’s mindset” in the group.
“I think the coach has brought a German mindset over to us, a winner’s mindset,” Lehmann said.
