Draymond Green Slams Kevin Garnett As He Falls For A Fake Account

In the era of fake news, everything needs to be verified many times. On Wednesday, Draymond Green discovered the hard way after falling for a false remark from Kevin Garnett.

Draymond Green Slams Kevin Garnett As He Falls For A Fake Account

Draymond Green, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, has never been hesitant to speak up for what he believes in and to do it. As a result, when a remark from NBA veteran Kevin Garnett appeared on Twitter, Green responded bluntly.

The fake quote, offered up from a parody account, claimed Garnett said this about last summer’s incident in which Green punched Jordan Poole during practice: “Draymond punching JP is like a senior punching a freshman who’s half his size and then walks around talking himself up as if he’s like that. Come try me, Dray.”

Green got defensive, retweeting the parody account and tagging Garnett in his response: “I tried you when I was a rookie KG, and you started talking to yourself like I wasn’t talking to you. What’s that like? The freshman picking on a senior citizen that’s double his size?”

Green reminded Garnett of the time the former NBA player treated him disrespectfully when he was a rookie when he quotes tweeted the article and even used Garnett’s official account.

In the end, Garnett responded to Green, pointing out that the initial comment came from a totally false account and including a last jab at Twitter CEO Elon Musk.

Garnett’s response to Green: “That’s a fake tweet,” he wrote. “[Elon Musk] see [what the (expletive)] is happening. Fix it.”

Green ultimately decided to delete his tweet after recognizing his error.

Garnett has already offered commentary on the Green-Poole affair, doing so professionally last summer.

“I get it. You have to be a little more patient. You have to be the big homie,” Garnett said shortly after the incident. “You have to pull a dude to the side and have a one on one and get a lot more from that versus doing it in front of everybody.”

According to reports, Musk, the CEO of Twitter, did exactly that, and TheNBACentel’s account has now been suspended.

Although Green later removed his quote tweet, the four-time NBA champion had already suffered harm.
