Colts Reveals New Uniform & Gets Roasted Real Bad

The Indianapolis Colts unveiled a new alternate uniform on Thursday morning, departing from their customary blue and white attire in favour of a “Indiana Nights” theme with a black helmet and blue jersey and pants. Wide receiver Alec Pierce (14) and safety Rodney Thomas II (25) served as models for the new uniform.

The uniform worn by Colts players will be all-blue with white stripes running down the outside of the shoulders and legs. The uniforms are the first of their sort in NFL history because of the fabric’s heathered appearance.

The Colts will also don black helmets for the first time in the organization’s history to go with the outfits. At the helmet’s centre will still be the blue Colts logo. Instead of the traditional “C” captain’s patch, the captain’s patch on the Colts’ new alternate jersey will resemble the “C” on the Colts’ logo with the outline of the state of Indiana in the centre of it.

The new attire is mocked for resembling the outfits of a mid-major college football team, and the moniker “Indiana Nights” is also made fun of. Teams who don’t stick to tradition face the danger of being ridiculed, but the Colts are getting a lot of flak on Thursday.

If you look closely, the all-blue colour has these strange small white specks in it, which would be awful enough. It gives the outfit the appearance of flannel pyjamas from a vintage cartoon where the character’s butt flap is held up by buttons.
