Le’Veon Bell Realises His 2018 Mistake & Apologies To The Steeler Fans

On Snapchat on Sunday, a video of Bell expressing regret to Steelers supporters surfaced. This is the first time Bell has expressed regret for whatever transpired between him and the organization that led to his season-long holdout in 2018. He said so earlier this summer on the SteelHere Podcast.

Finally saying what Pittsburgh Steelers supporters want to hear, Le’Veon Bell.

He ought not to have gone from Pittsburgh.

Bell, a free agent who switched from the Steelers to the Jets, acknowledged on Sunday that he now regrets his choice.

Bell had said, “No, I didn’t want to leave Pittsburgh.” “Because that’s where I was at at the end of the day. That’s where I got drafted, right? was the response.

He carried on using Snapchat.

“You know, I’ve gotten requests to come on podcasts and all the know, but really you’re right. I never apologized to the fans and they really should know,” Bell said. “For leaving the Steelers, I never apologized. I want to say that I apologize for leaving the best damn fans in this world. I shouldn’t have left. I should’ve never left. I apologize, that’s my fault, that’s on me.”

2013 second-round draft selection Bell rushed for 860 yards and eight touchdowns in his first season.

He burst for 1,361 running yards and eight rushing touchdowns the very following season, adding 854 yards and three passing touchdowns, and was selected for the Pro Bowl and All-Pro First Team.

In 2017, he was named to both squads once more, although Pittsburgh reportedly tagged him with the franchise tag that year after he allegedly turned down a reasonably lucrative two-year deal.

When Bell was given the franchise tag for the 2018 campaign, he did not play. His time with the New York Jets did not go well after his signing. Le’Veon Bell’s underwhelming time with the Jets is frequently attributed to Adam Gase.

Later in his career, Bell played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, and Kansas City Chiefs. He last participated in an NFL game during the 2021 campaign.

The Steelers, where Bell played with Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown, were where he had his greatest seasons. Three times during his career, he received votes for All-Pro teams.
