Zion Williamson Raises Concern With A Skeptical Self-Harm Post

Zion Williamson has endured a rough few months on social media. The New Orleans Pelicans forward came under great scrutiny in April when he was forced to sit out of his team’s futile attempt to make the playoffs due to injury.

Williamson has recently been embroiled in off-court turmoil concerning an adult movie actress who wouldn’t stop tweeting about him regarding their supposed connection.

Shortly after Williamson’s rumoured girlfriend revealed she is having a child with him, Mills made her accusations.

The 23-year-old Pelicans star’s turbulent offseason continued on Thursday when a portion of the song “Suicidal Thoughts” by The Notorious B.I.G. emerged on Williamson’s Instagram Story.

The post featured a transcription of the lyrics, “I can’t believe suicide’s on my f—— mind, I wanna leave,” sparking online concern about Williamson’s well-being.

At least that’s what the music he just released seems to be alluding to. You may be familiar with it; it’s from the album “Ready to Die” by the rapper Notorious B.I.G. from the 1990s. Although it is one of the most well-known rap tracks ever, the themes are frequently violent.

The young player for the New Orleans Pelicans is not handling his issues and choices in life well. He recently made the decision to listen to podcasts and acquire guidance from previous players instead of attempting to find expert assistance. Zion recently discussed his bad nutrition plan on Gilbert Arenas’ podcast.

Williamson, the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, only appeared in 29 games for the Pelicans in the 2022–23 campaign due to injury.

Williamson has also been open about his battle with weight.

“That s–t hard, it’s hard, man. Like, you’re 20, 22, got a lot of money — it feels like all the money in the world — man, it is hard,” he said on Gilbert Arenas’ “Gil’s Arena” show.

Williamson signed a five-year rookie max extension with the Pelicans last July worth up to $213 million.
