“When ESPN lays you off the week before your wedding,” said Ashley Brewer as she and Frank Kaminsky are going to remarry after her ESPN layoff
Ashley Brewer, Frank Kaminsky’s wife and a former “SportsCenter” anchor who was laid off by ESPN last week, seems to be in excellent spirits.
Brewer is smiling her way to the altar as she prepares to remarry Frank Kaminsky, an NBA free agent center, this weekend during a wedding party in Mexico.
According to a May 2023 story in The Wisconsin State Journal by Kaminsky, 30, they said “I do” in a Los Angeles courtroom in April.

In a video Brewer posted on social media on Sunday, Kaminsky was seen casually practicing his reception speech in several accents, and the relatively private pair could be heard giggling.
Brewer captioned the video, “Wedding planning with Frank pt. 2,” and added, “5 days away, pray for us! Or… pray for Frank 😅😂.”

Having met in New York in 2017, the couple is now celebrating a year after Kaminsky proposed in Maui in the summer of 2017.
For Brewer, the wedding celebration comes at a challenging moment.
In addition to Jalen Rose, Suzy Kolber, Jeff Van Gundy, Keyshawn Johnson, and Max Kellerman, ESPN also laid off former collegiate swimmers from Texas and Southern California on Friday.

In March, Brewer marked her third anniversary with ESPN.
The news of the layoffs was originally reported by Andrew Marchand of The Post, who noted that ESPN alerted its staff on a company intranet on Friday morning of the upcoming reductions.
Brewer, who had previously worked as a host for “SportsNation” and a co-host of the Sunday night version of “GameNight” on ESPN Radio, had been working at the “SportsCenter” desk since September 2020.

After learning about the layoffs, she tweeted, “I am so grateful for my time at ESPN and the opportunity to host SportsCenter.” “I learned and grew so much as a broadcaster and person.
“I will really miss all of the wonderful friends I made along the way. I know God has a plan for my life and I look forward to what’s next.”
Brewer stated: “What’s next: my wedding is in one week!” in a different tweet.

In a TikTok video with the tagline “When ESPN fires you the week before your wedding,” Brewer poked fun at the circumstance.
She used the hashtags “unemployed” and “stay at home wife” in her caption, which read: “Laugh so we don’t cry.”
In a May interview with The Wisconsin State Journal, Kaminsky gushed over Brewer, saying, in part, “We’re just perfect for each other, and we both know it.”
