Eagles Brandon Graham Shares A Compelling Argument On Patrick Mahomes’ Super Bowl LVII Injury

Even though Super Bowl LVII was over about five months ago, Brandon Graham still can’t stop talking about it.

Last season’s Super Bowl matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs ended in a crushing 35-38 loss for the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite the fact that the game was played more than four months ago, the players’ recollections of the defeat are still raw since it prevented the Eagles from winning what would have been their second-ever Super Bowl.

Eagles Brandon Graham Shares A Compelling Argument On Patrick Mahomes’ Super Bowl LVII Injury

The quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, guided his team to victory in the matchup at hand despite not being at his peak following an ankle injury sustained during their divisional playoff triumph against the Jacksonville Jaguars. As uncertainty persisted over the 27-year-old’s availability throughout the crucial portion of the season, the injury emerged as a major talking topic throughout the postseason.

Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham recently made many comments on the Derrick Gunn and Rob Ellis-hosted JAKIB Sports program Sports Take. One of them was Philadelphia’s heartbreaking Super Bowl loss in February, when the Eagles scored 35 points but eventually fell short. On the other side of the field, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was an efficient 21-for-27 with  182 passing yards and three touchdowns. He also ran the ball six times for 44 yards on a high-ankle sprain, winning his second Super Bowl MVP in the process.

“(Patrick) went in there on the sideline, and he seems injured. We need to find him, so grab him. And as he emerged, you could see how tough he is, yet the young man behaved well. He certainly made a grimace as though he were in pain.

Mahomes cautiously hobbled toward the sideline after the tackle. His terrible anguish was captured on tape as trainers examined his ankle. He then came back into the game to help the Eagles end the first half and begin the second.

Graham also touched on the difficult playing circumstances, highlighting how they limited the pass-rushers’ capacity to produce game-changing plays. He specifically mentioned a missed opportunity when his teammate slipped while pressuring Mahomes, saying, “When I looked at the film, it was just like ‘Man, oh man. We’re going to get that on the get-back. That’s coming back.”

Graham, in spite of the setback, refrained from offering any justifications and instead praised the Chiefs for their effort. He acknowledged that the playing ground circumstances were the same for both sides and praised their capacity for flexibility. “Credit to Kansas City, man. It’s all love. Them boys, they played too.”
