Commanders New Coach Eric Bieniemy Has A Changed Perspective After Leaving Chiefs

In a season where he was projected to become the head coach, the Washington Commanders hired Eric Bieniemy away from the Kansas City Chiefs as their offensive coordinator.

Bieniemy is currently rediscovering how to function in a Kansas City-based company while still serving as Ron Rivera’s offensive coordinator.

Additionally, he recently discussed how the transfer has altered his perception of the NFL, according to Bleacher Report.

Commanders New Coach Eric Bieniemy Has A Changed Perspective After Leaving Chiefs

With the legendary NFL team finally being able to move on from longstanding owner Daniel Snyder, the Washington Commanders finally see some light at the end of the tunnel after more than two decades of hopelessness and sorrow.

The club can concentrate on playing well on the football field now that the franchise’s dark period under Snyder’s rule is about to come to an end.

This summer, Eric Bieniemy made the rather unexpected choice to accept a comparable position with the Washington Commanders instead of continuing in his post as offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs. He recently said something that could provide insight into his thoughts.

The former NFL rushing back Bieniemy recognized it was time for a change in organization after working as a coach in Kansas City for ten years. He’s making the most of an offseason shift that doesn’t involve becoming a head coach, even though that transition was intended to be a promotion.

“I’m energized and thrilled. It has really changed my perspective,” Bieniemy told ESPN.

The fact that Bieniemy hasn’t been hired as a head coach has been discussed throughout the years, but that is the past and Bieniemy is only concerned with the present, claiming that it has given him energy.

“When you’ve been in a place for 10 years, you have a tendency to take certain things for granted. “This has helped me to go back and dot all the I’d and cross all the T’s.”

The Commanders’ season will be, to put it mildly, fascinating as they attempt to field a successful squad in Washington after changing ownership next month.
