Texas A&M Defensive Line Coach Terry Price Dies At 55
Terry Price, the defensive line coach at Texas A&M, passed away on Friday, the university reported. He was 55.
Former Texas A&M player Price, who taught defensive linemen for 28 years in the SEC, visited his alma mater in 2012 under Kevin Sumlin and remained there under Jimbo Fisher. Price previously served as head coach for seven seasons at Ole Miss and ten at Auburn.

The Aggies declared On the defensive side of the ball, Price worked as an assistant. He passed away on Friday. His cause of death’s specifics don’t seem to be known at this time.

“A legend on the playing field and the sidelines, it is with heavy hearts we mourn the loss of Terry Price and offer our deepest condolences to Coach Price’s family and friends,” the program announced Friday night to its fans.”
Prior to entering the coaching profession, Price had a brief NFL career while playing for the Aggies from 1986 to 1989. He had worked with the Aggies since 2012.

After 28 years of coaching in the SEC, Price returned to Texas A&M in 2012. From 1986 to 1989, he competed for the Aggies under coaches Jackie Sherrill and R.C. Slocum.

“Terry was not only a great Aggie, football coach and recruiter, he was an even better husband, father and man. The impact he had on this program and his players is immeasurable. Our football family has suffered an incredible loss. We will continue to hold Kenya and the boys in our thoughts and prayers,” head coach Jimbo Fisher announced in a Friday statement.
Our Ole Miss football family is saddened and in shock over the death of our former defensive line coach Terry Price. He went from being a coach to a really good mentor and friend. My heart goes out to his wife Kenya, their 2 sons, the Texas A&M players and staff.

Kenya, his wife, and their two boys, Alexander and Devin, who both graduated from Texas A&M last month, remain as Price’s survivors. Devin, who spent three years as a wide receiver with the Aggies, recently declared he was moving to FAU to complete his football career.
