QB Carson Wentz Receives Harsh Criticism For Killing A Black Bear

This weekend’s big news involves Carson Wentz, but it has nothing to do with his joining a team. Recently, Wentz visited Alaska and spent some time in the wilderness.

QB Carson Wentz Receives Harsh Criticism For Killing A Black Bear

A free agent NFL quarterback Carson Wentz crossed something off his bucket list after using a bow and arrow to take down a black bear in Alaska. On Friday, he uploaded on Instagram a photo of himself standing close to the dead animal.

The Wentz brothers are experienced hunters who have shared some of their kills on Instagram, including ducks, bucks, and turkeys.

“Got the opportunity to spot and stalk black bear in one of our new favorite places on earth— Alaska!” Wentz posted to the Wentz Bros Outdoors Instagram account he shares with his brother Zach.

“Incredible trip and an incredible animal,” the brothers added.

It’s reasonable to assume that Wentz’s bear hunting angered the crowd. They attacked the free-agent quarterback in the answers to express their thoughts.

While Wentz’s lawful shooting of a bear in Alaska generated a debate over animal rights vs. hunting privileges, others of his supporters just used the occasion to tease him.

With that level of precision on the field, Wentz would be a far better quarterback, according to one of the most often used jokes in the comments section.

“Hope next time (the) bear wins and you lay down,” one Instagram commenter said.

Incredible animal so you kill it?? Makes sense,” a another person said.

“That’s just awful! I can’t believe you killed a bear for sport. Changed my whole perspective of you,” a third person said.

“We know your football career is over, so you have to do another thing for a living. But this is not the way! Respect the animals, the nature. It’s not for your fun.”

“Killing for fun. Glad the Eagles dumped you. Focus on getting better at throwing the ball than your “bucket list,” another commenter said.
