Kyler Murray’s OTA Receives Appreciation From Cardinals Coaches And Teammates
Most of the media coverage on Kyler Murray over the past year has ranged from unfavorable to terrible.
However, the stories have altered over the offseason. He is inside the structure. He participated in both the necessary and optional offseason activities while working hard to recuperate from his damaged ACL.
Kyler Murray’s OTA Receives Appreciation From Cardinals Coaches And Teammates
Throughout Arizona’s offseason program, the fifth-year quarterback, who is still recovering after having an ACL reconstruction on his right knee in January, was there at practice, watching his teammates quarterbacks work from a few yards behind the line of scrimmage and going through the reads as plays evolved. He would add his voice when he thought it was necessary when conversing with the other signal callers or planning a route with a receiver.
Kyler Murray just minds his business, stays quiet off the field, is a keep to himself type of guy, cares about winning and people hate him for literally no reason. #AZCardinals https://t.co/Gr1v1A3KGX pic.twitter.com/mvfQyFT6Tm

He pleased teammates by being present during the offseason program. In meetings, head coach Jonathan Gannon gushed over Murray.
Although the timing of his knee injury recovery is unknown, everyone seemed to have faith in him moving forward.
Although Murray may still be weeks or months away from playing, he is making an effort to be present every day this summer.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Hollywood Brown has confirmed a rumor that NFL star Kyler Murray went through a growth spurt this summer.
“He’s probably around 6'0-6'1 right now, I’m not even lying” – Brown said in an interview.

“He’s been here,” Gannon said. “He’s been the first one in the building, been here after everybody goes, and I got to spend a lot of time with him during … OTA periods and just seeing how he’s working.”
“You can tell he’s really, really locked in, how much he’s itching to get back out there. He’s behind the huddles every play, so really locked in and really excited for his return and just his whole process.”

The team’s custom with injured players throughout the summer was for Murray to avoid speaking to the media.
“He’s a competitor so he wants to get back out there so I know he’s going to attack it as best as he can to try to make it back out there whenever he can,” Arizona wide receiver Marquise Brown said about his QB1 and close friend, per Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.

“It’s been fun to see because it’s like you get to see something different from your guy,” left tackle D.J. Humphries noted about what he witnessed from Murray this spring. “It’s like, ‘Dang, I ain’t even know that was your makeup cause I’ve never seen you do it,’ and now it’s like, ‘OK, I see who you are. I get a little bit more understanding of who you are and why you are the way you are,’ and it’s been cool for me. I’ve been loving it to be around him a bunch.

Murray has spent more time with his teammates during an offseason than at any other point in his career thanks to his decision to complete his recuperation in Arizona rather than Texas (the club wanted Murray recuperate in Arizona, where he had his surgery). And as a result, certain members of the squad have come to know him better.
