Draymond Green Was Seen Vacationing In France With Lakers Star LeBron James

On Monday, Draymond Green turned down his $27.6 million player option with Golden State, and LeBron James was spotted vacationing with him in France.

If the 33-year-old chooses Draymond Green against joining the Warriors, the Lakers are a likely destination for him as an unrestricted free agency.

They recently were seen hanging out in France and are extremely close pals. Before heading back to the Lakers’ practice facility for the start of the new NBA season, James has been having fun in his off time. Draymond Green just made the decision to decline the Golden State Warriors’ player option, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Consequently, he is entirely free to negotiate a new deal with the team of his choice. This might perhaps be the opportunity LeBron James has been looking for with Green and convince him to become a Laker.

Rob Pelinka, the general manager of the Lakers, will do all in his ability to please LeBron James now that the preseason is just weeks away from beginning. One of such initiatives may be the attempt to sign Draymond Green.

Golden State is at a turning moment with newly hired general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr.

Thompson, who is in the final year of his deal, will become a free agent in 2024 and will be searching for a sizable salary. When the market opens on June 30, Green could already be on his way out.

Dunleavy declared, “We really want Draymond back.”

Although it is apparent what the Warriors want, Green will undoubtedly look into his alternatives.

The four-time All-Star has already praised James in public, and this playoffs, when the Lakers eliminated the Warriors in six games in the second round, he got a close-up look at Los Angeles’ potential.

He never flinches, and he always provides an explanation that would even lead you to doubt Michael Jordan’s brilliance. It is reasonable to assume that Draymond Green wants to join the Lakers for this reason alone.
