NBA Finals: Conor McGregor Punches Miami Heat’s Mascot

Following his appearance at Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets on Friday at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Conor McGregor has sent MMA fans into frenzy.

Despite claiming it was his first time courtside at an NBA game, McGregor was booed off the court by the Heat faithful when he came on the microphone with Miami behind by ten points.

The Heat’s mascot Bernie, who was sporting gold boxing gloves and was obviously itching for a fight, then approached McGregor, 34.

The Irishman participated in a brief performance for the fans in person and watching at home after being welcomed onto the court to represent MMA. ‘The Notorious’ was required to place his recognizable left hand on the Miami Heat mascot as part of the performance.

Bernie’s cap was knocked off and he was sent to the ground after McGregor delivered a hard left hook to the head after briefly assessing his opponent.

The crowd let out a gasp, followed by more boos.

The mascot was then saved by a “fake” squad of trainers who pulled him away from the UFC star’s ground and pound. After winning his “fight” with the mascot, McGregor was then heard saying, “Put the belt on him!”

While the Macot struggled to defeat Conor McGregor, the KOed person and Miami Heat supporters also had a difficult time in the NBA battle. Denver Nuggets beat Miami Heat 109-95 in the thrilling Game 4. With the victory, the Nuggets took a 3-1 lead over the Heat and are now only one victory away from writing franchise history by becoming the first team to ever win the NBA championship.
