Catcher Francisco Alvarez of the New York Mets changed his legal counsel. William Arroyo will now serve as his representative as he joins the Rimas Sports Agency, run by the rapper Bad Bunny.

The ideal applicant for Bad Bunny’s sports agency is 21-year-old Alvarez. The goal of Rimas, which was established last month, is to represent Latino athletes. Alvarez, a former client of the renowned agency Scott Boras, is assuming a risk.

Baseball players other than Alvarez have contracts with Rimas Sports Agency. Others include Yonathon Diaz, Wilmer Flores, Ronny Mauricio, and Santiago Espinal.

Latino talent may flourish both on and off the field with the support of Bad Bunny’s international platform.

To start the sports agnecy, he collaborated with Noah Assad, CEO of Rimas Entertainment, and Jonathan Miranda, an executive at Rimas.

Latin players benefit greatly from this since they have a strong agency behind them. And given how prosperous Bad Bunny has been over the past several years, he knows how to identify potential and aid in its recognition.

This season, Alvarez has played in 25 games with the Mets and is batting, with William Arroyo serving as his agent.216/.275/.392 with six RBIs and three home homers.

With their victory over the Tampa Bay Rays (32-12) on Wednesday, New York (21-23) was able to end a two-game losing streak.
