Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, opted to add a master’s degree to his impressive year after winning the Super Bowl and obtaining a sizable contract deal.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Post Graduates From the University Of Oklahoma

In an Instagram post on Saturday, Hurts wrote, “I Know Momma Proud Of This One,” alongside images of him in his cap and gown and holding a diploma.

The 24-year-old professional football player graduated from Oklahoma with a master’s degree in human relations after transferring there as a graduate student in 2019. He’d been to the University of Alabama before.

The Eagles tweeted that they had “mastered it.” “Jalen Hurts has successfully completed his Master’s degree. #FlyEaglesFly”

The 24-year-old Hurts has stated in interviews that his mother, a special education teacher around the time of his freshman year of college, pushed him to take action when she witnessed her peers getting laid off.

Hurts told Essence in April, “She went back to school and got her master’s to become a counselor.” For me, that serves as a living testimony.

The Houston native’s exciting first half of 2023 comes to a close with the receipt of his master’s degree.

The outstanding quarterback signed a five-year, $255 million contract extension with the team last month, making him the highest-paid player in the NFL at the time in terms of yearly compensation.

Hurts led the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII earlier this year against the Kansas City Chiefs, and that agreement was made just a few months later.

Despite Hurts’ record effort, which included three running touchdowns and one throwing touchdown, the Chiefs ultimately defeated the birds 38-35.
