QB Dak Prescott Takes A Stand For Lamar Jackson & Jalen Hurts: ‘Deserve every bit of the money.”

Both Daniel Jones of the New York Giants and Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles received contract extensions this offseason, making it a busy one for quarterbacks of Dallas Cowboys rivals.

While Hurts received a record-breaking five-year, $255 million deal, making him the highest-paid player by yearly pay, Jones received a four-year, $160 million contract. Hurts receiving his deal notably made Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott happy, and he shared his appreciation for the Eagles quarterback on the Adam Schefter Podcast.

Prescott answered, “Yeah, congrats and I’m proud of him.” “I hosted Jalen on a visit way back at Mississippi State years ago and I’m a fan of the guy and the way he plays the game.

“Not a fan of his team and when they have success … but a fan of him and the way that he approaches it.”

“He’s somebody that was counted out early because of his playstyle and just has had success, trusted himself, and trusted in the process. Proud of him, and he deserves every bit of the money.”

Jones and Hurts received new contracts from their respective organizations, while Lamar Jackson’s contract status with the Baltimore Ravens remains unresolved due to their standoff.

In another part of his chat with Schefter, Dak Prescott shared his opinion that Lamar Jackson is likely to receive a deal even greater than the one that Hurts just received, before adding that he doesn’t pay much attention to other players’ salaries.

“I mean, honestly, I try not to listen to a lot of the news but stuff like that you hear friends telling me things. I support everybody and I support those guys getting their money and doing that. Honestly, I hosted Lamar on a visit to Mississippi State as well. So yeah, hopefully, he’s next and he tops Jalen and that’s just the way it goes. And yeah, it will happen for him.”
