Suns Devin Booker’s Converse Shoes To Launch Tomorrow

Devin Booker put his “personal touch” on his first Converse collaboration design that went on sale days before the Phoenix Suns head into the NBA Playoffs.

Devin Booker’s Converse Pays Homage To Arizona

The Converse x Devin Booker Chuck 70 arrived on Converse’s website — selling for $95 — on Wednesday morning and sold out soon after, according to comments on @converse’s Instagram photos. According to the product offering, the unisex high-top shoe “defines throwback style with a modern edge” and pays homage to a traditional Americana look.

In his unboxing video, Booker stated, “Chuck 70 is part of my uniform; it goes with everything that I wear.”

The undyed canvas sneakers in the shade of ivory also subtly make reference to Arizona.

On the right heel there’s a subtle tribute to Booker’s chosen home state and his affinity for vintage cars.

Arizona 75 vintage automobile, A1N, and Grand Canyon State are written in a rectangle of raised rubber on the back of the heel.

According to Booker in Converse’s video, this is a “honor to my first classic car that I got.”

Adding, “Great nod, my first Converse with my first car,” he concluded.

The absence of a toe cap and an embroidered inner ankle patch are the other characteristics of the shoes.

Footwear News claims that Booker unveiled the pattern on April 9 during his tunnel walk prior to the Suns’ home game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Converse also released a 30-second film directed by Jaimie Sanchez that is “inspired by (Booker’s) Mexican American heritage, the Phoenix desert, classic cars and his timeless style” to accompany the April 12 launch.

The shoes debuted on Converse’s website on April 12. They will be sold at Foot Locker as well as some select retailers starting April 13.
