McIlroy won four Majors between 2011 and 2014 and was in great demand for sponsorship deals. The “third most marketable athlete in the world,” according to SportsPro, in 2013.

In 2017, McIlroy agreed to a $100 million deal with TaylorMade after Nike ceased making golf equipment. He still represents Nike as an athlete and wears their gear when out on the course. Omega, a manufacturer of watches, also supports McIlroy by releasing a special edition Speedmaster ’57 in September in honour of his achievement.
