Brad Bohannon, the baseball coach for Alabama, was visibly upset after being sent off against Arkansas on Saturday. But he also told the Razorbacks supporters as he departed the pitch.

In the seventh inning, Bohannon was dismissed for disputing balls and strikes. He then started making fun of the Hog Call as he made his way back to the dugout, energising the Razorbacks supporters.

The Crimson Tide was in the lead at the time, 5-4. Later, Tavian Josenberger of Arkansas blasted a two-run double to give the Razorbacks a 6-5 lead.

With a 21-6 record overall and a 3-4 record in SEC play, Alabama is attempting to go back to.500 in the conference. Arkansas entered the game with a nearly identical 21-5 overall record and a 4-3 conference record.

In the end, the Razorbacks defeated the Crimson Tide 9-6 to take the three-game series.

A three-run home run by Kendall Diggs in the bottom of the fourth inning helped the Razorbacks come back from a 4-0 deficit against Alabama to tie the game at three runs each. Jace Bohrofen’s single gave them another run, tying the game at 4-4.

Up until the top of the seventh, when Andrew Pinckney hit a solo home run to give Alabama the lead again, 5-4, that was the score. As Bohannon objected to a call and was dismissed, Josenberger was at the plate, and it appears that his antics towards the Hog Call helped fan the flames that resulted in the two-run double.

Following that, Drew Williamson’s RBI single in the top of the eighth helped Alabama tie it up once more. Bohrofen hit a single home run and Caleb Cali added a two-run homer in the bottom of the inning to give it a 9-6 Arkansas advantage, which remained as the final score. Nevertheless, the score didn’t stay tied for long.

After the defeat, Alabama’s SEC record falls to 3-5, while Arkansas’ record improves to 5-3. On Sunday at Baum-Walker Stadium, the Razorbacks have a chance to sweep. The first pitch is scheduled for 2:00 CT.

The Razorbacks will take a break from SEC competition after Sunday’s third game against the Crimson Tide to visit in-state foe Arkansas State on Tuesday. On the same day, Alabama will also play a non-conference game against Troy.
