Who is Erica May, Wife of Max Scherzer? His Parents, Family, Net Worth, Salary, Jersey
Max Scherzer is one of the most dominant pitchers in modern Major League Baseball (MLB) history. He has consistently been among the league leaders in strikeouts, earned run average (ERA), and wins, and has won multiple Cy Young Awards, which are given to the best pitchers in each league. Scherzer’s success on the mound can be attributed to his tremendous work ethic, his competitive spirit, and his ability to throw a variety of pitches with pinpoint accuracy.
Scherzer was born on July 27, 1984, in Chesterfield, Missouri. He attended the University of Missouri, where he played college baseball for the Missouri Tigers. After three seasons in college, Scherzer was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks with the 11th overall pick in the 2006 MLB Draft. He quickly rose through the ranks of the Diamondbacks’ minor league system, making his MLB debut in 2008.

Scherzer’s first few seasons in the majors were marked by inconsistency. While he showed flashes of brilliance, he struggled with command at times and had trouble keeping the ball in the ballpark. However, Scherzer’s fortunes changed in 2013, when he was traded to the Detroit Tigers. In his first season with the Tigers, Scherzer went 21-3 with a 2.90 ERA and led the league in strikeouts, earning his first Cy Young Award.
