James McCann is a baseball player, who has been playing in Major League Baseball (MLB) since 2014. He was born on June 13, 1990, in Santa Barbara, California, and is currently a catcher for the New York Mets.McCann started playing baseball at a young age and went on to attend the University of Arkansas, where he played college baseball for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
In 2011, he was drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the second round of the MLB draft. McCann made his debut for the Tigers in September 2014 and quickly established himself as a reliable catcher with strong defensive skills.
