MLB Spring Training 2023: Dates, Schedule & Venue
Baseball season has officially begun now that the Super Bowl is concluded. Due to their participation in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, a few of the top MLB stars have an earlier start to spring training, with the rest of their colleagues not long after.
Are you eager to see your favourite baseball club play again? Each MLB team’s spring training schedule, reporting times, and locations are shown below. Participants in the World Baseball Classic who are pitchers and catchers reported on Monday, February 13, while position players will report on Thursday, February 16.
The FOX family of networks and the FOX Sports App are the only places in the United States to watch the World Baseball Classic, which takes place from March 8 to 21.

MLB spring training dates 2023
- Pitchers & catchers report: Feb. 15-17
- Rest of position players report: Feb. 20-21
Although each team’s spring training report dates differ, they generally fall within a weeklong timeframe. Just one club, the Guardians, will have their pitchers and catchers report on February 17; the majority of teams will have their pitchers and catchers report by February 16. All other position players must report by Friday, February 21.
A unique feature of spring training in 2023 is that it will take place against the backdrop of the World Baseball Classic. Pitchers will report to their squads on February 13 and position players will come on February 16, with players competing in that event coming earlier at each appropriate position group.

Ahh, spring training. It's Year 9 since the Detroit Tigers' last playoff game, and after an offseason without addressing the 30th-ranked offense in MLB, fans here probably aren't feeling much optimism. https://t.co/y8R6THhYa9

Spring Training 2023 Schedule
Although none of the MLB camps begin at the same time, they all enter game mode on the same day. On February 24, the Arizona-based Cactus League will kick off with two games, while the Florida-based Grapefruit League will do the same on February 25.
Daily games will thereafter follow from that point forward.
Teams competing in the World Baseball Classic will also participate in spring training, playing games on March 8 and March 9 at various spring training locations.

As compared to the preseason of other major American sports, the MLB preseason is distinctive. Teams travel and establish hubs in Arizona and Florida rather than playing at their regular venues or practising in their home states.
The teams then compete against one another on a schedule inspired by MLB. The clubs they meet during spring training are all in the same state, so there is a lot less travelling involved.
