QB Jimmy Garoppolo Goes Viral For Smiling After Brock Purdy Injury

With the San Francisco 49ers’ defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Conference playoffs, which propelled the Pennsylvania team to the Super Bowl, Jimmy Garoppolo’s tenure as the team’s quarterback most likely came to an end.

Jimmy G led the Bay Area franchise to a Super Bowl and nearly to another, but his tenure with the Niners is coming to an end as Brock Purdy establishes himself as the starter.

Jimmy G has, however, been known for his sense of humour his whole time in San Francisco, as he has nearly always been spotted grinning whether his team wins or loses. It’s a characteristic of the formerly backup quarterback for Tom Brady.

While Garoppolo was out with an injury for a few months, Brock Purdy took over at quarterback for San Francisco and guided them to the Super Bowl. In fact, Jimmy G would have been prepared to play him if necessary had the 49ers advanced to the Super Bowl.

But many team supporters were offended by the quarterback’s appearance, and they blasted him on social media and in other media sites.

Some Niners supporters find that attitude offensive and have taken Garoppolo’s smiles to mean that he doesn’t give a damn about the team. And the same thing happened in the NFC championship game when the Niners were down 21-7 and cameras saw Jimmy G grinning on the bench.

As the San Francisco 49ers were humiliated by the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game, Jimmy Garoppolo came under fire on social media from the squad.

In the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco rookie star Brock Purdy was forced to leave with an elbow injury, while his substitute Johnson was forced to leave the game with a concussion. In the fourth quarter, the Eagles are in front 28-7 thanks to the 49ers’ struggles.

Purdy, who was chosen with the 262nd and final choice in the 2022 NFL Draft, is the current “Mr. Irrelevant” after being the first rookie quarterback to win on his postseason debut since Russell Wilson in 2012. His journey has been incredible; he went from being the backup quarterback to the starting position after sophomore Trey Lance and veteran Jimmy Garoppolo were injured.

Garoppolo, who will become a free agent and, with the rise of Purdy, will probably be playing for another team next season, won’t disturb 49ers fans with his smiles anymore.
