VIDEO: New York Giants Rookie Giddy’s on the Vikings Logo After an Impressive Playoff Win
The playoffs are here and unfortunately for some teams, the dream run comes to an end while for others, this is just the start of what could be possible. For the Minnesota Vikings, their season came to an end in the playoff after suffering a 31-24 loss against the New York Giants.

Going into the game, the Vikings were betting favorites to take the win, but a series of mistakes from the Vikings along with brilliant individual performances from the Giants meant an abrupt end to an impressive season for the men led by Kirk Cousins.
The New York Giants make it through to the divisional rounds
The game started well for the Giants who took a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. They were outscored 3-7 in the second quarter before scoring seven points each in the third and fourth quarters. Daniel Jones played at a level that was far beyond his experience in the league, Jones passed for 301 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 78 yards in his first career playoff game for the Giants.

After the win, the New York Giants made sure to celebrate well, first-year edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux ran to the center of the field where the Vikings logo was and giddy’d all over it. Wide receiver Darius Slayton shared his thoughts on advancing in the playoff after the game.

He said, “A cornerstone franchise like this with such a rich history, this is what we’re supposed to do. We’re supposed to go to the playoffs. We’re supposed to be a winning team. We’re just going to keep trying to live up to the legacy that’s been here.”

Jones became the first quarterback in NFL history to hit these thresholds in a postseason game: 300-plus yards passing, two-plus passing touchdowns, and 70-plus yards rushing. Saquon Barkley was another stand-out performer as he rushed for two scores, including the tiebreaker midway through the fourth quarter. With the win, the New York Giants have now set up a clash against the Philadelphia Eagles this coming weekend.
