UFC 286 Leon Edwards vs Kamaru Usman Fight card
The third instalment of Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman’s trilogy, UFC 286 will be concluded on March 18 at the O2 in London, England.
The revelation was revealed by UFC President Dana White on Saturday during his presentation at the UFC Vegas 67 post-fight press conference. There was some worry that Usman’s hand injury might force the fight to be postponed, but that story has been debunked.

The first match between the two took place at UFC on FOX 17, with Usman winning by unanimous decision over Edwards. The “Nigerian Nightmare” and “Rocky” won a number of fights after that before meeting again at UFC 278 in August of last year. Usman was ahead 3-1 on the judges’ scorecards with the UFC welterweight title on the line this time when Edwards caught up to him with a picture-perfect head kick that sent him to the canvas in a heap.

Since his defeat to Usman eight years ago, Edwards (20-3, 1 NC) hasn’t lost in 11 fights in a row. In August, the Jamaican-born boxer, who currently resides and trains in Birmingham, England, was trailing Usman on the scorecards going into the fifth and final round before eliminating him with just over a minute to go.
In the UFC, Edwards, 31, has a record of 12-2 (1 NC).

Edwards ended Usman (20-2)’s 15-fight winning streak. With a victory in that August match, he would have shared the UFC winning streak record with Anderson Silva (16). The boxer, who was born in Nigeria and now resides in Florida and trains in Colorado, successfully defended his welterweight title five times, which tied him with another opponent for the second-most defences in UFC 170-pound history.
