Fans witnessed Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin experience a heart attack on national television, only to see him end up in the hospital with no assurance that he would fully recover. Skip Bayless made a controversial tweet after the incident.
Michael Strahan, a former defensive end, appeared to make indirect fun of Skip Bayless, a fellow Fox pundit, for his contentious Damar Hamlin tweet. After Buffalo safety Hamlin experienced a heart attack on the field on Monday, Bayless appeared to challenge the NFL’s choice to postpone the Bills-Bengals game in a tweet.
Skip Bayless called out by Michael Strahan
“I’ve struggled with this in a lot of ways because it’s not just about being an athlete and experiencing being on the field and being that close to guys, and you see something happen to a young man like that. You don’t have to be a football player to understand how big this was,” Strahan began.
Michael Strahan talked about Damar Hamlin on FOX, pointing out the collective humanity in reactions.
Then he had words, presumably for Skip Bayless.
“There were things done here, by somebody at this network, that were inhumane,” he said. Video: pic.twitter.com/nL5ymF14sW

“There were things done here, by someone here at this network, that were inhumane…I felt like sensible people and sensible human beings have a heart. And they understand that your words and what you say really have an impact on that young man’s family.”

On Monday night, Bayless sent out the offensive tweet as Hamlin was receiving CPR on the field at Paycor Stadium. The NFL announced that they will not continue the game. Hamlin is still being treated at a hospital in Cincinnati, but he is making progress and is currently breathing on his own. The day following his offensive tweet and Hamlin’s breakdown, Bayless broadcast “Undisputed” without co-host Shannon Sharpe.
