Zach Wilson’s Mom Calls Out Host Michael Kay For Accusing Her Family Of Having Relationship With Jets Owner
Zach Wilson is “definitely” coming back to the Jets next season, according to “someone close to ownership,” New York radio presenter Michael Kay claimed earlier this week. Johnson may still be on the team because of his “tight” relationship with his quarterback’s family, the coach continued.
Zach Wilson’s mother, Lisa Wilson, claims it is wholly untrue. In response to Kay’s allegation, she shut down the account entirely.
It was the day after her son was drafted, according to Lisa, that her family and Johnson only spoke once.

Despite the fact that Lisa omitted asking Zach if he had heard anything regarding his future with New York, her response to Kay’s remark made it quite evident that the latter half was a total fabrication.
Despite not being close to Lisa, Michael, Josh, Whitney, Micah, Isaac, or Sophie Wilson, Johnson and the Jets ownership may want to keep their second-year quarterback for a third season.
Zach hasn’t been the best over his first two years with the company. With 15 touchdown throws and 18 interceptions, the former No. 2 overall choice in the 2021 NFL Draft has only completed 55.2% of his passes. Just eight of his 22 games have he won.

Zach Wilson was frequently benched in 2022 in favour of Mike White and/or Joe Flacco as a result of his early-career troubles. Despite his struggles on the field, the club continues to support their young quarterback, and he still has plenty of time to turn things around.
Zach Wilson , who is only 23 years old, was thrown into the starting lineup before he was ready, which is something his offensive coordinator would like not to have happened. His career is not even close to over. Just the beginning!
"I want to get him to the offseason so we can attack the plan we've been building. For him, it's all about '23."

Having said all of that, it is still possible that the Jets will decide to release him and move on. Even though its previous support would suggest otherwise, New York might try to move Zach Wilson during the offseason.
“We’re committed to him,” head coach Robert Saleh said earlier this week.
