Boston Teen Charged After ‘Sucker Punching’ Referee During Basketball Game
Police responded to the gymnasium at Cohasset High School Wednesday around 6:45 p.m. following a report of an assault during the game against Excel High School.
Boston 25 News reported locally. Patrick Sullivan, the superintendent of Cohasset, provides more information.

According to the report, “the player allegedly hit the referee in the face after believing he was charged with another violation when the referee called Cohasset for travelling.”
A witness who saw the incident on tape described it as a “vicious” assault.

From what I gathered a Cohasset basketball player punched a referee in the face. If that were the case a suspension for the rest of this school year has to be the bare minimum for the player. School might need consequences too I’m just not sure what that would look like. https://t.co/m0G9C8cpHD
