Ntilikina and SIG Strasbourg agreed to a professional deal in December 2015 that would last through June 30, 2019. Even before the agreement, he had made his professional debut, playing for 15 minutes against Boulogne-sur-Mer on April 4, 2015, in a French LNB Pro A 2014–15 season match. During the 2015–16 Pro A season, he played in 32 games and averaged 1.2 points per game.

He was named the league’s Best Young Player. He won the Pro A Best Young Player award for the second consecutive year as a result of his impressive performance. Ntilikina was chosen by the New York Knicks on June 22, 2017, as the eighth overall choice in the 2017 NBA Draft.
